DL/Space 1.10 FILES.BBS Download Spacing Program
(c) 1991 Serious Cybernetics
written by C. Scott Davis and Danny Sosebee
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The following files should be contained in DLSPC110.ZIP :
DLSPACE.EXE DL/Space 1.10 program
DLSPACE.DOC DL/Space documentation (this file)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DL/Space is a utility designed to insert a space between the download counter
and the file description in FILES.BBS. Many file transfer door programs insert
a download counter (such as [1]) at the start of the description of files in
FILES.BBS. Sysops will often go into their FILES.BBS files manually and insert
a space (to create a more attractive file list). DL/Space is designed to do
this automatically. It will read your FLSEARCH.CTL file and update the
FILES.BBS in each listed directory (the original FILES.BBS is renamed as
FILES.BAK, which will be deleted if the "kill-backup" parameter is specified).
You can run DL/Space at any time, but you will probably want to run it once per
day, with your other nightly activities. DL/Space will NOT insert a space, if
a space has already been inserted (by DL/Space or manually), so no harm will be
done by running DL/Space more than once. DL/Space will also remove extra
spaces from inside the download counter (such as [ 1]).
Note : DL/Space will skip "comment" lines (lines that have a space as the first
character).
DL/Space was written in Turbo Pascal(tm) 5.5 using Turbo Professional(tm) 5.11
and CmdParse 1.0.

-p Pop-up mode
-g "Genius"-66 mode
-k Kill-backups mode

For example, setting DLSPACE=mq would cause DL/Space to run in
"monochrome" and "quiet" mode. Command line parameters will
override DLSPACE settings.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DL/Space is shareware. You may copy and distribute DLSPC110.ZIP freely.
All I ask is that you include all of the original files, unmodified.
If you like DL/Space and use it, any donation would be greatly appreciated
and would help to encourage future enhancements to this program and the
writing of others like it.
Questions, comments, and suggestions are welcome.
